Encryption in transit and at rest
All data is encrypted using industry-standard TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest. Your lab reports and biomarker data are never transmitted in plaintext.
Private, access-controlled storage
Lab report files are stored in private storage buckets with row-level security policies. Only you can access your own files — no other user, not even our application code, can read them without your authenticated session.
You control your data
You decide what to upload, what to verify, and what to keep. Export your data at any time, delete individual reports, or permanently delete your account and all associated data.
Verified data flow
Extracted biomarker values are never automatically saved to your health history. You review and approve every result before it becomes part of your permanent record.
Row-level security on every table
Our database enforces strict row-level security policies. A user can never query another user's reports, markers, documents, AI conversations, or family member data.
Audit logging
Significant account actions — uploads, deletions, data exports, and access events — are logged for security auditing and transparency.
Your data rights
You have full control over your health data. Exercise any of these rights at any time from your account settings.

Delete Report
Remove an individual lab report and all associated extracted markers from your account permanently.

Remove a family member profile and all their associated data while keeping your own account intact.

Permanently delete your account and all associated data, including reports, markers, documents, and history.
About AI usage
KnowMyMarkers uses AI to extract biomarker values from uploaded lab reports and to generate educational explanations and summaries. AI-generated content is always clearly labeled, and raw AI output never directly overwrites your verified biomarker values. AI answers are educational and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
