Your privacy is fundamental to KnowMyMarkers. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over it.
Data we collect
- Account information: email address and password (hashed).
- Lab reports: files you upload (PDF, JPG, PNG).
- Biomarker data: values extracted and verified by you.
- AI conversations: questions and responses from Ask My Markers.
- Usage data: how you interact with the Service, for product improvement.
How we use your data
- To provide the Service: displaying your biomarker dashboard, trends, and comparisons.
- To process AI extraction and educational explanations.
- To improve our extraction accuracy and educational content.
- To send service-related notifications (e.g., extraction complete).
Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Lab report files are stored in private, access-controlled storage. Our database enforces row-level security so no user can access another user's data. Service keys are never exposed client-side.
Data sharing
We do not sell your health data. We do not share your health data with third parties for advertising. We may share data with service providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure, AI providers) strictly for operating the Service, under appropriate data protection agreements.
Your rights
- Export your data at any time.
- Delete individual reports at any time.
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- Access a copy of your data.
AI processing
When you upload a lab report, AI is used to extract biomarker values. AI may also be used to generate educational explanations and summaries. AI-generated content is clearly labeled. Raw AI output never directly overwrites your verified biomarker values. See our AI Disclosure for more details.
